Description
This 19th century folk retablo painting represents ‘La Asuncion de Maria al Cielo’. The Assumption of Mary into Heaven represents Mary being assumed into heaven by God to become Queen of Heaven.
Represented in the lower corners are presumably, Saint Dominic (lower left) and Santa Ana (lower right). Circa 1860.
