Description
This rare 19th century oil painting represents ‘Cristo de la Columna’ (Christ at the Column) with San Pedro (the gatekeeper to the doors of heaven) and the rooster, noted for crowing three times after Peter’s denial of Christ. In lower right, a partially legible inscription, along with a signature and a date of 1892.
